Privacy Policy

Your clipboard belongs to you. This policy explains how Memorafy handles your data.

Last updated: July 8, 2026

Our commitment

Memorafy is built on a simple principle: your clipboard data is yours. We do not sell your data, serve advertisements, or build profiles based on your clipboard content.

Local data

By default, all clipboard history is stored locally on your device in a SQLite database. This data never leaves your machine unless you explicitly sign in and enable cloud sync.

Cloud sync data

If you choose to sign in, clip content (text, titles, previews, URLs, and images) is encrypted on your device before upload using XChaCha20-Poly1305. A per-account encryption key is wrapped with a key derived from your password (Argon2id) and stored on the sync server in wrapped form only. The server cannot read your clipboard content.

Some metadata needed for sync is not encrypted, including timestamps, pinned and favorited flags, item kind, and collection names. You can disable sync and delete your account data at any time from Settings.

Data we do not collect

  • No analytics or tracking in the desktop app
  • No advertising or behavioral profiling
  • No sale or sharing of clipboard content with third parties
  • No third-party tracking scripts on this website

Website

This marketing site does not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. Hosting providers may log basic request metadata (IP address, user agent) for security and performance. These logs are not used to identify individual users.

Your rights

You can:

  • Delete local clipboard history at any time (Settings → History)
  • Disable cloud sync and sign out
  • Erase all local data from Settings → General
  • Inspect the open-source code on GitHub to verify our practices
